The path

From the grow room to published science.

I did not arrive from a credential. I built a real operation, instrumented it, and learned the computation to close the loop. Every step is documented.

2005

Started cultivating, at fifteen

A hands-on obsession with fungi that never stopped. Cultivation craft learned by doing, not in a lab, and the foundation for everything since.

2017

Founded Southwest Mushrooms

Built a commercial farm in Phoenix into one of the city’s most productive urban operations: 1,200 to 1,500 pounds weekly, 35+ species. Two Phoenix New Times features called me "The Professor."

2020

Taught it to 195,000 people

An education channel grown to over 195,000 subscribers and 11.9 million views. Cultivation knowledge, documented and given away.

2024

Instrumented the floor with Crowe Sense

Built my own multi-zone telemetry rig on the working farm. A frozen snapshot holds 3,596,420 readings over 23 continuous days, backed by an open-hardware sensor-node design.

2025

Founded Crowe Logic

Taught myself the computational science to make the data mean something. CriOS Nova, a proof-verification engine, scientific languages, and a discovery toolchain. 26 DOI-backed works, all resolvable.

Each is backed by resolvable, DOI-minted work, conservatively described. The differentiator is an owned, closed-loop data system, not rented public data.

An operating commercial farm, instrumented end to end. Crowe Sense logs multi-zone environmental telemetry; harvest weight and quality close the loop per batch. The asset a competitor cannot buy: owned sensor-to-outcome pairs from a real commercial floor.

Computational Drug Discovery

Active

A targets-to-leads toolchain on real RDKit pipelines, not slideware. CriOS Nova computes fingerprints, descriptors, drug-likeness, QSAR, and virtual screening, feeding a discovery-scoring toolkit, a pharma knowledge graph, and curated target data with protocols.

Pre-production

Tools for verifiable science. crowe-theorem proposes and mechanically verifies proofs through Z3, Lean, and SymPy; flux compiles PDEs to GPU; Synapse and Mycelium-EI-Lang are scientific languages with real compilers.
